What Do Chiropractors Do?
Chiropractors locate subluxations in the spinal column and use adjustments to help restore proper spine alignment. Chiropractic adjustments are a natural type of manual therapy typically performed by hand. The process seeks to realign joint subluxations. Chiropractors locate subluxations in the spine by examining posture, joint motion, soft tissue tonicity, along with other indicators and tools. Chiropractors then analyze the joint misalignment of the subluxation to determine which adjustment motion is required to restore the proper joint alignment. The adjustment is a quick controlled motion that sometimes creates an audible release of gas known as a joint cavitation. There are many adjusting techniques and Dr. Zac will choose the best one for each individual depending on their age, health history and body type. The art of the chiropractic adjustment is what makes this profession unique and special.
